Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. World’s Best Island showcases Tourism of Palawan.

It’s given, Palawan indeed is one of the most beautiful island in the Philipplines, and of course to the world.  In order to continue promote, market and attract 3 million tourist by 2016, the Provincial Government of Palawan along with Palawan Tourism Council, Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board and The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Advancing Philippine Competitiveness  (COMPETE) Project, held a five day tourism and trade fair.



It’s called Palawan, World’s Best Island happen last August 7 up to 11 at the Activity Center of Glorietta Mall in Makati City. it is the first ever Tourism and Trade Fair initiated by the Provincial Government to promote further the Tourism industry of Palawan, participated mostly by different Resorts, hotels and travel operators in the province.

On his speech, Palawan Gov. Jose Ch. Alvarez emphasize that Tourism is key factor in the continuous development of Palawan, and they from the local government is committed to continue uplift the lives of Palawenos. 

The opening ceremony is attended byDOT- MIMAROPA  Regional Director Atty.Minerva Morada, Palawan Tourism Council President Debbie Tan and Pampanga Gov.Mark Lapid.  Along with Palawan Congressman Chicoy Alvarez, and Puerto Princesa City Councilor Matthew Mendoza.

The Palawan Dance Ensemble, Provincial Capitol Chorale and Provincial Acoustic Band highlight the five day fair with various dance and songs presentation of Palawan Culture.
