Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. The well attended 8th Cuyonon Baragatan.

It was one of the most attended Cuyonon Baragatan that happen last Aug 16, 2015 at Club Filipino in Greenhills in San Juan City. More than 500 Cuyonons  from Metro Manila and other part of Luzon, and from abroad attended this once a year reunion to celebrate the forth coming Feast of St. Agustin, the patron saint of Cuyo, an island municipality in Palawan.

Among attendees this year are past officials in the province of Palawan, like former Governor Baham Mitra, former Congressman Amor Abueg, Former Board Member Jimmy Josol , Cuyo Mayor Andrew Ong, and members of Palawan Clergy headed by Fr.Eugene Elevera of Seminario De San Jose.

Baragatan Cuyonon 2015 is spearheaded by Manny Ching, Dr.Heracleo Lagrada of Fatima University is this year’s inspirational speaker, on his talk Lagrada remind the youth of today about the cultural importance of Cuyo to the province, and show some old and new photos of Cuyo.
Engr.Rufo Cabanlig is this year's Guest Speaker.

But it was Engr. Rufo Cabanlig of MacroAsia is the guest speaker, on his message he discuss his struggles being a student who hail from Island Cuyo to UP Manila campus.  He was able to achieve many things in Mining industry and he was so happy because he is a true blooded Cuyonin.

The Sinika or Sining ng mga Katutubo headed by Nonoy Lanzanas made a grand performance, they perform songs from their latest album that on sale that time, they also had a duet number with Rosanna Pediapco-Trampe who also appear in the album.

The Cuyonon Baragatan Organization also announces the incoming chairperson for the celebration next year and in 2017. Trampe will be the head for next year, while Jess tan is for 2017 in order to give them so much time in preparation and get more sponsors.

Aside from Sinika, Child Singing Champion Krissy Mayo, Eunice Samandre and Ms. Ana also perform as intermission. Founding member Grace Gobing  perform a breathtaking dance number as well as some founding members for some cultural dances of Cuyo. The annual gathering ends with raffle and dance party.

Experiencing Dinner In The Dark at Residence Inn in Tagaytay.

RESIDENCE INN in Tagaytay City did a good job in hosting the fast rising one of a kind experience Dinner in the dark (Black Dinner), a much talk awareness campaign challenge for the benefit of people who are blind. In the event last Oct 18, 2014 we are fortunate to be invited among other bloggers to experience the so called realization dinner plus the tour of Zoomanity park inside Residence Inn,   wherein they house variety of foreign wildlife animals, fishes, snakes and birds. Before the scheduled dinner there is an orientation coming from the organizers,   a talk from Dra. Episode 4 of the latest season, two deaths happened.  We never  saw this coming but Lori Grimes died after giving birth via C-Section. Shot by her son. T-Dog gets bitten by a walker – and ultimately dies a hero’s death when he charges a group of walkers to help Carol escape. But then later, Carol went missing. Wondering if she's dead or alive. This season seems pretty tough hard for Rick Grimes. Adding to the excitement was that, in Woodbury, the Governor isn't really what he seems to be.
