Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. It’s a night of theater generations in Philippine theater, the 11th Gawad Buhay Awards honors the best of 2018 plays, musical and theater performances of all company that compose Philstage, happen last May 28, 2019 at the Onstage of Greenbelt 1 in Makati City. Carlo Orosa and Kakai Bautista host the awarding ceremony with featured performances of all the nominated theater shows like Himala, Isang Musikal, Ang Huling El Bimbo, Eto na Musikal nAPO, Giselle, and Balag at Angud. Stagers summer workshop is now 12 years old and counting

 For 12 years now, Philippine Stagers Foundation, Inc continue its legacy of discovering talents thru Stage Acting, Theater Direction, Production Designs, and Writing scripts, all in two months of Summer Workshop, headed by its founder, Atty. Vince Tanada . The 2019 batch is around 120 students that undergo screening in order to be part of this  year’s summer activity, the selection according to Tanada is due to the fact that this year is an extensive workshop program from acting to directing, this is in preparation for the next venture of PSF which is producing film scheduled last quarter of the year. The PSF Summer Theater Workshop 2019 is sponsored by Filipino Theater Icon R.S Francisco and his company, the Frontrow. BINONDO, A Tsinoy Musical Back to SOLAIRE

 Exactly a year after its successful run at the Theatre Solaire, BINONDO , A Tsinoy Musical comes back for another one.This time spearheaded by  the Maritess Alava-Yong Foundation , the said play whose story was based on Rebecca Chuaungsu’s uncle , written by multi-awarded writer Ricky Lee and directed by no less than veteran director  Joel Lamangan promises an excellent rerun of the  said theatrical piece. The Maritess Alava-Young foundation started its roots in 2017 by Mickey Yong,the husband of Maritess. Maritess succumbed to cancer in 2017 and her husband found it fitting to honor his wife’s dedication to philantrophical works by starting a foundation under her name. Maritess is a Filipina who got married to Singaporean Mickey Yong. Despite her stature, she never lost the passion in serving people. Unknown to her husband, she had done countless of charity work and her husband only found out the extent of her charitable works a few weeks after she died. ...
