Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Strangely Familiar: The Jonathan Benetiz Paintings and Collage Exhibit.

Palawan’s very own celebrated visual artist Jonathan Benitez recently held a successful solo painting exhibit entitled “Strangely Familiar”, at Art Galileia in Bonifacio Global City at Taguig City that opens September 12, 2015. 31 art pieces were on display that mostly oil on canvass and acrylic with a theme of human relationship to nature. This is the first time that Benitez had a solo exhibit but he is not a newbie anymore in bringing his art to Manila, he had group shows before in UP, Conspiracy Bar and even in House of Congress in the past years.  Benitez admit that it’s not an easy road for him to mount this solo show especially in Serendra vicinity of BGC, he went into rigorous process before the said gallery approve his first show, he believe that his maturity on his craft is the key that’s why he was given such opportunity. “ Di madali ang solo show, dapat matured na para ma consider ng gallery, 20 years akong nag practice dito sa Palawan, alam ko ti...

The Dark and Light of Angel Moreno’s 7th One Man Art Exhibit.

A celebration of animals, flowers and fish, captivates the first painting exhibit in the newly open Dark And Light Art Gallery in Don Alejandro Roces Avenue in Quezon City, as they present the 7 th one man Art exhibit of Angel Moreno last March 21, 2015. Thirty pieces of his artworks mostly themed with his subject of coy fishes, sunflowers, roosters, horses, and tigers, are up on sale up to April 11, proceeds in each painting sold is given to Unilab Foundations, on their Play It Forward project as the beneficiary. Moreno’s work is simply brilliance since he is painting in a very modern technique, not the usual art pieces you will see in some galleries, he is recreating the picture to come alive when you are looking at it, he simply called it embossed art that he admit a tough one to made due to layering of paints and colors. #ARTLead2015 showcases 150 artworks at Rence Art Gallery.

Ribbon Cutting with ARTLead people, Lawmaker Edcel Lagman and Mrs.Classic Asia 2014 Joyce Pilarsky. 50 Artist or exhibitors from different Cities and Provinces of the Philippines, including the ones from Hongkong and Kuwait, open the first online initiative Painting Exhibit entitle #ArtLead 2015 last January 25, at the Rence Art Gallery in Cubao, Quezon City. Around 150 artworks mostly paintings from Acrylic, to oil in canvass, to pen in ink and other mixed media, are up for sale to this momentous rendezvous of Art leaders. Entertainment Writer and The Daily Tribune columnist Edgar Cruz initiate this exhibit that will run up to Feb 28, 2015. One portion of the gallery is dedicated to Joyce PenasPilarsky, the reigning Mrs. Classic Asia International.
