Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Wings of Vision flying high in Cinemalaya this August.

 On its 14th year, the 2018 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival will screen the best visual storytelling to every film enthusiast. With the theme "Wings Of Vision" there is something that will surely captivates the audience imagination by this year's line-up of ten full-length films and ten short features from August 3 to 12, 2018 at various venues at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and selected Ayala Cinemas. The annual Cinemalaya Awards took place at The CCP Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo on August 13, 2017, honoring the achievements and craftsmanship’s of Filipino Indie film makers on full-length and short categories. As soon as the curtain raised, the audience were appalled by a magnificent authenticity set design. This was complemented by a powerful opening performance of " The Joys And Perils Of Making An Indie " by Lou Veloso, Aiai de las Alas and Jaclyn Jose, accompanied by Tanghalang Sta. Ana and Jerald Napoles who rendered " Ikaw At Ako. " Maricris Garcia performed " Bituin Marikit " for the " In Memoriam " tribute as interpreted by a female member of Powerdance. The ceremony was directed by Louie Ignacio. Cinemalaya 2015 focus on short films.

And the winners are.... After 10 years, Cinemalaya, the Philippine Independent Film Festival decided to reboot itself and assess what needs to be done for the coming of more than Ten years in case. This year’s Festival focuses on the short films, and Asian Films also was showcase to add highlight, yes they were none full length movies under Directors showcase and New Breed Category. And here are the winners for this year 2015, Best Screenplay-Papetir, Audience Choice- Santissima, Best Film- Pusong Bato, Best Direction-Petersen Vargas of Lisyun Qng Geografia, NETPAC Prize and Special Jury Prize is Wawa.
