Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Musica FEUROPA Choral Competition all set this May 25 and 26

The FEU Chorale welcomes everyone for Musica FEUROPA 2019 The Far Eastern University Chorale Competition has gone a long way, from just four choirs in 2009 mostly from Manila, the list of competing choirs rose to almost 30 hailing from all over the Philippines, making it one of the most prestigious Chorale Contest in the Philippines today. For 2019, FEUROPA again supported by the European Union as its principal sponsors featuring 10 choirs for Open category and 5 from the teen category, Grand Champion shall take home P100,000.00 and a trophy, First Placer will receive P30,000 and P20,00 for the Second Runner up plus trophy. P10,000 consolation will be given away also to remaining finalists. Musica FEUROPA year 11 is set on May 25 and 26, 2019 in the upgraded retrofitted auditorium of the FEU Manila Campus. Chud Festejo’s Nanay Tatay is PhilPop 2018 winner.

Finals Night was held at Estancia Capitol Commons Mandaluyong. Ten finalists battled it out for the First, Second and Third Place respectively. From a number of submitted songs, a pre-judging was held at the BGC Theatre and from the pool of 30, ten finalists were chosen to compete for the Grand Prize. At the end of the evening of December 2, Chud Festejo’s Nanay Tatay emerged victorious. He was actually not expecting to win but he is really glad that he won the top Prize, Nanay Tatay is a song that talks about Innocence and Vulnerability. Aside from that, the music Video of Nanay Tatay, it was also a winner for the special awards category. Chud went home with one million pesos as the Champion. Ferdinand Aragon’s Visayan entry entitled “Di Ko Man” was declared first runner up. Aragon says that the song is actually a visayan Harana, for winning the first runner up he goes home with a prize of Php500,000.00 pesos.
