Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. From the Buwan and back, to the war and to love.

A new Filipino musical is about to unleash via a newly formed theatre company that will hit us with their brand new style of theatre presentation. That’s one of the aims of Black Box Productions that will revisit their “Mula Sa Buwan” production this December at Irwin Theater in Ateneo De Manila University. Based on the play Cyrano De Bergerac from French poet Edmond Rostand, “Mula Sa Buwan” will showcase sweet and bittersweet young love during post war era of Manila.  Patrick Valera conceptualized the play along with William Elvin Manzano which was first performed in 2010 at the University of Asia and the Pacific under Dulaang Rock Opera Company. Valera admits during its launching that this was just an introduction for its grand restaging early 2017. Thus it will only have a limited run from Dec 2, 3 and 4. This play will make you realize that Saturno’s contribution to Original Pilipino Music is really a legend, a name that many generations of Pinoys grow up singing all his hits. Chuva Choo Choo start with the story of two sisters and plus one friend whom they consider a family as well, they are used to join singing contest and ended up losers, until they witness a crime wherein they have to go somewhere and hide, but fate has another plan for them and fame is just a foot away. The latest musical to hit the Philippine Theater by September is Chuva Choo Choo, The Mr.Kupido Musical inspired by songs written in the past by hit maker Vehnee Saturno. It will be produced by Stages Production Specialist Inc under the direction of seven time Palanca winner George De Jesus III. Moresette Amon. Joana Ampil. This Original Filipino Musical will open on Sept 25 and 26, 2015 and will serve as the opening salvo of the newly built Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati. The short run will continue by January of 2016. Billing this exciting production is the former Kim of Miss Saigon Joanna Ampil and The Voice finalist Morisette Amon, they will portray sisters Dina and Darla, whose story started when they witness an altercation that they wish they never saw, and from there a hilarious hiding and impersonations, they even land as contestant in a reality singing contest, so it’s a choice of stardom over secrets and quest for true love as well. ...
