Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Love for romance and love for environment. A Lakbay2Love Film Review.

Lakbay2Love official poster. Lakbay2Love is a film about beauty, no doubt. The sceneries shown in Lakbay2Love by Erasto Films are all worthy to be shown onscreen. Eye candy with a breathtaking feeling, would make you wish that you could explore those mountains, hills through biking. This is the third offering by the award-winning filmmaker Ellen Ongkeko Marfill, following Pusang Gala and Boses. Lakbay2Love stars Solenn Heussaff and Dennis Trillo. Solenn plays Lianne, a videographer who features forester Jay-R (Trillo) who advocates biking for healthier environment.  Lianne is recovering from heartbreak over Macky (Kit Thompson) who happens to be a friend of Jay-R. Their fates crossover.  But the film does not create so much of a love triangle feel. One very good thing about Lakbay2Love is the details of its characters. Cinemalaya 2015 focus on short films.

And the winners are.... After 10 years, Cinemalaya, the Philippine Independent Film Festival decided to reboot itself and assess what needs to be done for the coming of more than Ten years in case. This year’s Festival focuses on the short films, and Asian Films also was showcase to add highlight, yes they were none full length movies under Directors showcase and New Breed Category. And here are the winners for this year 2015, Best Screenplay-Papetir, Audience Choice- Santissima, Best Film- Pusong Bato, Best Direction-Petersen Vargas of Lisyun Qng Geografia, NETPAC Prize and Special Jury Prize is Wawa.
