The much awaited Dani Girl, A musical about hope by The
Sandbox Collective and 9 Works Theatrical is the most beautiful local produced
theater musical so far for 2019, it gives you a lot of realization about life,
those simple things that we go beyond in daily grind yet we fail to recognize
its effort.
Dani Girl is a journey of cancer patient Dani and her friend
Marty, on how they accept their fate of living limited because of a deadly
disease, with the help of their guardian
angel they try to find answer, why all people its them who need to suffer, why
all people in the whole world, they are the one who have this disease that cure
is not a sure win.
This year’s re-staging is really great, with the inclusions
of visuals such as videos and graphics, it was more beautiful than you can
imagine, of course all the music put together are superb to listen and well
choreograph to please the audience.
The part that Dani needs to say goodbye to her mom after
being in coma is such a heartbreaking scene, literally we are crying
sympathizing with the grieving mom, if you’ve loss someone dear to you
definitely you will be touched.
The play will let you understand that Cancer is not an
enemy, everything exists for a reason and need to appreciate things in your
surroundings, some little things that make you happy even for a short time is a
joy to consider, and not all people experience that kind of feeling.
We are so grateful to see Felicity Kyle Napuli as Dani Girl,
this kid is a gem in Philippine Theater along with Daniel Drilon playing as Marty, their singing and acting prowess is so believable. One commendable part
is when Dani is talking to God, from a smokey stage to just a normal backstage
is something to fathom, where all your questions is answer that raise in this
play.
Are you the kind of person that always looks to see what kind of expensive your neighbor's kid is playing? Or are you worried about what your friends are making as far as their salary? Not happy in your marriage, friendships, or not being satisfied with what you have at the moment? Some people are wondering, why despite the fact that I am just a stay-at-home mother and a not-so-full-time photographer, we are still able to manage to go through the day to day lives being happy and having no (or at times with quite a few) debts from other people. It's just a matter of perspective actually. You need to learn the art of contentment. Being content is not being driven by always wanting more. I know that ambition is a prized trait in our society. I am not saying that ambition is wrong. What I am saying is that the constant striving for more and not enjoying what you have or where you are at the moment will drive you crazy. Things do and will change. Have the at...
I was at a beautiful wedding recently, and I had a small moment of revelation about the meaning of wearing a wedding ring. It’s not an exaggeration to say that my understanding was turned completely upside down. Today I Found Out the history and symbolism behind the tradition of wearing a wedding ring and why, in most western cultures, it’s worn on the fourth finger of the left hand, otherwise known as the ring finger. Wedding rings today are a billion dollar sentiment of love, but no one can really say for sure when this age old tradition actually started. Some believe that the oldest recorded exchange of wedding rings comes from ancient Egypt, about 4800 years ago. Sedges, rushes and reeds, growing alongside the well-known papyrus were twisted and braided into rings for fingers an other decorative ornaments worn by the women in those days. The circle was the symbol of eternity, with no beginning or end, not only to the Egyptians, but many other ancient cult...
