Being a Teacher is one noble profession, they are the true unsung heroes of what we achieve in life, they are the first people who give us the foundation to face the world, and be competitive to whatever life may bring.
Harlequin Theatre Guild of De La Salle University latest production of “Titser Ko Si La Salle” is a tribute for teachers, in line with Tercentenary Celebrations of St. La Salle’s Legacy, it’s a trilogy of short play presented in one show,
The first act is “Ang Projector Ni Ma’am” a family over passion story of a Teacher who wants to elevate his teaching style using technology but lacking funds to support it, this is for a fact that her own son needs money for medical care. Written by Dr.Genevieve Asenjo is light to watch since it was presented with musical numbers, however, the ending part is confusing because it was abrupt and the main issue is not resolved.
Next one is “Tser”, a teacher to the barrio story that was inspired by her students and vice versa, this is the funniest part of the trilogy, the casts are all good in timing and throwing punch lines, however this is the darkest story among the three, it involves violence and a lot of crying, while the main lead, Teacher Rose is doing a lot of monologues a sort of letter reading of what his situation and achievements, to her far away mom. That “Pipit” song number is so cute to watch.
“Lesson Plan” is the last act that tells a biography of a teacher, that because of her vocation in teaching, her love story suffers, and ended alone. Joana De Leon is playing the old teacher Rebecca with alter ego portraying the young Rebecca where the “Kilig” happens, but the true salvation of this act is the co-teachers, they all provide the laughter’s needed to feel the good vibe as the show end.
“Titser ko si La Salle” under the Direction of Raffy Tejada made us realize that Teacher’s contributions most of the time are taken for granted, some thought that its just a job that few appreciates, yes they were given tributes and we even celebrates Teachers Day, but its more than the profession, it’s a passion and advocacy to some, to shape the mind of so-called future of our motherland.

Are you the kind of person that always looks to see what kind of expensive your neighbor's kid is playing? Or are you worried about what your friends are making as far as their salary? Not happy in your marriage, friendships, or not being satisfied with what you have at the moment? Some people are wondering, why despite the fact that I am just a stay-at-home mother and a not-so-full-time photographer, we are still able to manage to go through the day to day lives being happy and having no (or at times with quite a few) debts from other people. It's just a matter of perspective actually. You need to learn the art of contentment. Being content is not being driven by always wanting more. I know that ambition is a prized trait in our society. I am not saying that ambition is wrong. What I am saying is that the constant striving for more and not enjoying what you have or where you are at the moment will drive you crazy. Things do and will change. Have the at...
I was at a beautiful wedding recently, and I had a small moment of revelation about the meaning of wearing a wedding ring. It’s not an exaggeration to say that my understanding was turned completely upside down. Today I Found Out the history and symbolism behind the tradition of wearing a wedding ring and why, in most western cultures, it’s worn on the fourth finger of the left hand, otherwise known as the ring finger. Wedding rings today are a billion dollar sentiment of love, but no one can really say for sure when this age old tradition actually started. Some believe that the oldest recorded exchange of wedding rings comes from ancient Egypt, about 4800 years ago. Sedges, rushes and reeds, growing alongside the well-known papyrus were twisted and braided into rings for fingers an other decorative ornaments worn by the women in those days. The circle was the symbol of eternity, with no beginning or end, not only to the Egyptians, but many other ancient cult...
