Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Image
Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. School is OVER!

Finally! It's school break for my eldest. She's on vacation mode already!

Aside from the summer taekwondo class she's going to attend, I also make it a point that she reads pocket books at least an hour and a half per day, do some Math worksheets for 30minutes per day. Just to keep her busy and not just purely watching TV the whole day. Plus, there's also bonding time with her little sister.

She's also into drawing and painting these days.. We still have 60 more days to fill with activities before the new academic school year comes! :)

Now my problem is, what else can we do while she's not in school. Things that she will enjoy and at the same time enhance her skills, aside from those mentioned above.

You can have her listen to audio books. I'm currently offering a giveaway for a chance to win an MP3 audio dramatization of The Pilgrim's Progress, if you're interested in entering. 3 winners will be chosen. It ends 3/27. Here's a link to it in case you're interested. http://www.asliceofhomeschoolpie.com/2014/03/giveaway-pilgrims-progress-audio.html

My kids do swim team in the summer months, it definitely keeps them busy and I don't mind when they do watch tv then because they are worn out from swimming laps!

Ask her to find objects outside to glue onto her paintings. This will help her connect her work to real life. You can collect twigs and grass and even dirt to enhance her skills. These paintings are wonderful!
