Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Nagaraya Product Being Recalled

It's one of my favorite snack when I was younger specially the adobo flavored one.

I was shocked earlier when I was watching the news on TV that FDA recalls some batch of Nagaraya product due to level of aflatoxin.



The FDA, in a press statement, said Food Industries, Inc., initiated the recall of its Nagaraya Cracker Nut Original Butter Flavor (160 grams) identified under Lot No. 14019 with expiry date01242015F, which was found to contain an unacceptable level for aflatoxin. -ABS-CBN News

According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, aflatoxin is a “fungal toxin that commonly contaminates maize and other types of crops during production, harvest, storage or processing.”
“Exposure to aflatoxin is known to cause both chronic and acute hepatocellular injury. In Kenya, acute aflatoxin poisoning results in liver failure and death in up to 40 percent of cases,” the center said.



"Consumers who have purchased Nagaraya Cracker Nut Original Butter Flavor (160 grams) under Lot No. 14019 are advised to contact the Sales Department of Food Industries, Inc. at 810-0141," the FDA said,
