Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Dulaang UP Launches 43rd Season

Dulaang UP holds a Press Preview in lieu of its 43rd Season at the Wilfirdo Ma. Guerrero Theater. Present in the Press Preview were Prof.Emeritus Tony Mabesa, Frontrow President and also DUP alumnus RS Francisco ,Ms. Ma. Amihan V. Ramolete, PhD.  Dean of the College of Arts and Letters and new artistic Director, Banaue Miclat Janssen.
With the Theme : HUDYAT: Pagkilala, Pag-alaala at Pagpapahalaga, Dulaang UP soars high for its 43rd Season.Under the tutelage of New Artistic Director Prof. Banaue Miclat Janssen. Dulaang UP aims to continue producing quality Plays that are in tune with the mission and vision of the Organization.

Banaue takes over the post that was held by Dexter Santos. For its 43rd Season three plays will be staged namely: Six Characters in Search of an Author (Anim na Tauhang Naghahanap ng May-Akda) by Luigi Perandillo, translated by Rody Vera and to be directed by Prof. Emeritus Tony Mabesa . (Performances will run from Sept. 5-30, 2018 at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater. Next after that will be The Dressing Room : That which Flows Away Ultimately Becomes Nostalgia) Ang Dressing Room : Kung Saan Lubusang Pangungulila ang Dulot ng Agos ng Panahon by : Shimizu Kunio Adapted by : Chiori Miyagawa , translated in Filipino by Rody Vera.This is to be directed by Alexander C. Cortez with play dates running from Nov. 7-25 at Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater.
Completing the three plays this season is Nana Rosa by Rody vera to be directed by Jose Estrella with play dates running from February 20-March 10, 2019. Miclat Janssen finished her Master of Fine Arts at the City University of New York and is extremly happy that she's back to the one place she calls home- The Theater.
