The world of Poker at Solaire.

SOLAIRE Resort and Casino introduce to us last Oct 9 the world of playing Poker during the #World Poker Tour Blogger’s Night.  This is in preparation for the Casino’s hosting of #WPT starting this Oct 16 up to 28, 2014. Wherein Top Pro’s and A-List celebrities from around the globe are expected to sit and try their luck to this famous card game of this generation.

During the event, Ron Regis a Professional Poker Coach brief us some technics and easy way to win in poker, he also discusses how he embrace this kind of sport from a hobby to a career now, he emphasize that it takes talent or skills in order to excel on this game.  But the most remarkable talk that night is coming from Mark Aventajado whose credentials are way up and consider  as the father of Poker Tournament  in the Philippines, he stress that the best about poker is the competitiveness and of course the fun and excitement that you will get.
Mike Aventajado
Vic De Guzman.
Another speaker that evening is Vic De Guzman, a top pros Poker player in the country whose winning records either here and in abroad is unparalleled, he point out that Filipinos are the most creative players in playing poker, and he declare it’s the ultimate sports that Filipinos should embrace because this is the only sports that no height or weight is required.

After all those talks, our group is divided into three and given a table at the poker room of Solaire.  Each dealings of cards is a learning yet thrilling experience, the coaching from the professional players really helps and made me understand that it is really a sport and not a sort of gambling thing that will burn all your hard earn money in a snap of your fingers.  A discipline and a right attitude with of course the good guidance and the right style of playing with creativity is a sure formula to conquer the world of Poker.

Unfortunately I have to leave early and leave my winning chips to my assign group after the third round. But the memories of playing Poker in Solaire I must say is extraordinary and a chance of a lifetime. We’ll never know when these will happen again.

Ron Regis

Poker is a great and entertaining game to play at casinos. I just don't want to gamble with real money haha. We play with playing coins at home.

Solaire’s a great place to try poker. It has good restaurants, too!
I am not good at it but it is fun! I don't have a poker face, and can't bluff.
