Cebu Pacific to strictly implement one carry-on baggage policy

Image
Cebu Pacific reminds its passengers to bring only one hand carry bag during their travels to ensure a smooth and convenient flight experience. The carry-on bag must not exceed 7 kilograms in weight and its size must fit in the overhead bin or under the aircraft seat. This strict implementation of the hand carry baggage policy is in line with the airline’s goal to improve its processes for a more efficient and seamless customer experience. Beginning September 01, 2021, guests who do not comply with this rule will be charged with a gate baggage fee of P1,000 per person for domestic flights. In the coming months, the airline will also begin charging for its international flights – P1,500 for short haul and P3,000 for long haul. Cashless payments are also encouraged, in line with the airline’s contactless flight guidelines amidst operating during the pandemic. “We have been continuously reviewing our processes to ensure we are able to provide the best customer experience for everyJ...

Remodelling Your Bathroom

Image
So you've decided that it's time to update your bathroom. Whether you're planning to sell your home or you've simply decided your family needs a more updated space, there are a few important decisions you should make before you start. First of all, consider what needs to go (no pun intended). Are you remodeling because all of the fixtures- tub, shower, toilet and sink- are outdated? Or is there a specific area of the bathroom that doesn't work for you? Maybe the floor is outdated or peeling, or the mirrors are in inconvenient places, or you'd like to knock out a closet or install some shelving. Before you start, pin down the exact things about your bathroom that need work. Don't immediately assume you need to overhaul the entire room. You may be able to save yourself big bucks by starting with the problem areas. If your bathroom seems too small, you might not need to tear out a wall. Maybe you just need a pedestal sink instead of a cabinet one. If you're...

Gareth Fernandez Announces “Lost In You” Album Docuseries

Gareth Fernandez is slated to drop a two-part docuseries inspired by the success of his full-length album, Lost In You, which was released early this month. The ‘Lost In You’ docuseries will make its debut on Wednesday, 25th August at 8pm SGT (first episode), and on Tuesday, 31st August at 8pm SGT (second episode). The two-episode video series will feature exclusive performances by Gareth himself and his soul/funk/R&B/pop band (Gareth & The Momma Shop), as well as some special guests. Each song from Lost In You is lovingly arranged specifically for this retro-inspired music show. “I’m gutted that I wasn’t able to do a live gig as performing is like lifeblood to me, but I figured this docuseries would be the next best thing,” Gareth shares in a statement. “I spent 2 years of my life on this project, with many almost-sleepless caught up in planning, writing, recording, filming, photoshoots and post-production, thinking through and working on every tiny minute aspect to make this ...

All About Public Key Infrastructure

Image
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is a technology for authenticating users and devices in the digital world. The basic idea is to have one or more trusted parties digitally sign documents certifying that a particular cryptographic key belongs to a particular user or device. PKI is based on a mechanism called a digital certificate. Digital certificates are sometimes also referred to as X.509 certificates or simply as certificates. Think of a certificate as a virtual ID card. In the real world, people use ID cards such as a driver's license, passport, or an employee ID badge to prove their identity. A certificate does the same basic thing in the electronic world, but with one big difference. Certificates are not just issued to people (users, administrators, etc.). Certificates can also be issued to computers, software packages, or to just about anything else that you may need to prove the identity of.  You may be wondering what certificates have to do with PKI and how does PKI works . ...

How to Seal a Retrofit Window

Image
These days a lot of homeowners are replacing their old windows with vinyl windows using the retrofit style of window frame. This is particularly true in the west, and specifically, in California. The number one arguement that I have heard against using the retrofit method, is that it is susceptible to water leaks. Well, that's true if you don't do it properly. But, if you do a complete tearout of your old window down to the studs, you're going to have water leak issues there as well if you don't install the new window properly. So I think that arguement is, well, all wet. So, let me tell you the best way to install your retrofit windows that will ensure that water cannot get in.                 There is an old song that goes, "It never rains in California, but girl don't they warn ya, it pours, man it pours". For those of you in California, you know how true this is. While California doesn't get a lot of annual ...
