Clarita, the darkness in her. Movie Review

Image
(Photo from ABS-CBN News site) Clarita, the latest horror Filipino flick showing recently provides a new flavor in the horror genre of Filipino films, from to start to finish the movie gives a dark moment in all of its scenes, intentional somehow but it’s effective for a deeper understanding of its objective, it set our mood on how powerful the antagonist of the story. The movie is just about the exorcism of Clarita that is set in the ’50s that became a national issue, it is a slow pace in storytelling the background of its mean character which is Clarita, there are many subplots to it like the story of the two priests and the reporter covering the event, there is one scene in the film when the reporter and the Psychologist is talking about Clarita, a guy shows up walking backward that leave us clueless, it was not explained in the film. Jodi Sta.Maria as Clarita is good here, we used to see here in many teleserye crying most of the time, or make us kilig in her past r...

Sunshine Family and how they shine.

Image
The Cast of Sunshine Family Spring Films along with Film Line Pictures of Korea latest venture, the Sunshine Family movie is a feel good film that tackles unity in the family after an unfortunate incidents happen, they are foreign family living in a foreign land and how they were able to adjust in all adversary of family life. Honestly I expect so much on humor on this, it made us laugh 4 times and two of that is an LOL experience, seeing Filipino actors potraying in a KMovie is refreshing to watch, we Filipinos feel proud on this project. Kmovies have the tendency of slow pace in storytelling, one at a time in executing the story, but of course the Cinematogrpahy is awesome as compare to other hit Korean films, the producers and Directors are from Korea and that’s what this movie make it a legit one to consider. I should say the musical scoring is also a superb one to consider because it did bring the movie up. We feel that its more on Shamaine Buencamino character ...
