Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Binondo, A Tsinoy Musical at the Theatre Solaire

Last April 12, 2018 a press Launch was held at Oriental Palace Tomas Morato for Binondo, A Tsinoy Musical.Produced by Dr. Rebecca Shangkuan Chuaunsu, this musical is based on a love story told to her by a man he met during one of her trips to Mainland China some 32 years ago.She said that the story never left her and is etched on her memory and what better way to retell it more but by making it into a musical.  She then contacted her mentor, Director Joel Lamangan to direct the play and the piece has been translated into a musical by master writer/storyteller, Ricky Lee. Another Palawena Transexual recently made a buzz in down under, the former Miss Gay El Nido 2015 is now the first runner up of Miss Transexual Australia International held last Jan 27, 2018 at St. Kilda Town Hall in Melbourne, Australia. The said pageant is on its 9 th year, there are 12 candidates coming from Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Philippines. Serinna Rivera, 27 year old is born in Baguio but grow up in the beautiful town of El Nido, in which her family own Las Cabanas resort, she study high school at Fulbright College in Puerto Princesa City. Early 2016 she move to Australia to further her study along with her Aussie fiancé.  It is the second time that Serinna join the Miss Transexual Australia, this is after her much coveted winning as first runner up in Ms.Mardi Gras International 2017 in Sydney, she represent White Ribbon, an organization that help women who are victims of domestic violence. Last Friday, April 6,2018, The Design Week Philippines Team had a gather up at Casa Blanca San Luis Complex Intramuros Manila to discuss the details of the 9-day event to transpire at the Walled City of Intramuros. For this edition, Design Week is working with the National Commission of Culture and the Arts in mounting several hands-on creative workshops and art booths in to liven Plaza Moriones in Intramuros, Manila and for everyone to enjoy. The Simone Rota docufilm is almost the same like the other, however it stand out because his story is such a journey in finding his roots, from Italy to Philippines maybe a common story to tell but his compassion in proving that he really value his sports and the people who take care of him from the start up to where he is now. Fides Cuyugan-Asencio, Francisco Carlson Aseniero, Gloria Dizon-Coronel, Irma Ponce Enrile Potenciano, Armida Ponce Enrile Siguion-Reyna, Jose Santos, Teresita Agana-Santos and Noel Espiritu Velasco, their contribution were recognized prelude to the show. The pillars of Philippine Fashion were also given recognition whose artistry and creativity made a testament and statement in the world of fashion. Ramon Valera, Pitoy Moreno, Ben Ferrales, Aureo Alonzo, Christian Espiritu, Joe Salazar and Salvacion Lim-Higgins were just some of notable Filipino couturiers who proudly interpreted and represented their creations with such uniqueness.
