Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Unknown to many, there is a silent group of selected Original Pilipino Music artist that advocating education as the best foundation in life, this is the Heroes Project PH wherein artist usually perform in a big audiences, and ask donations to send kids to school. Mike Chan, one of the members of all-star quartet Sabado Boys along with Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, Luke Mijares and DJ Myke is spearheading the Heroes Project PH that started year 2011. In the past year they send kids to medical operations mostly with facial deformities, but in 2014 after a New Year Coundown show in Rizal Park at Luneta, they were able to send 20 students to school.  Chan is a nephew of Ben Chan of Bench company. TheStar Wars "X-Wing". It's a complex tale of love, life, family, war, religion, philosophy, politics and culture. Hiroshi Koike, an acclaimed artist from Japan, wishes to create harmony among different cultures using Mahabharata on stage. The Pan-Asia Mahabharata Project which started in 2013 in Cambodia can be listed as Koike's greatest achievements to date. This production will run until 2020 in different Asian countries. Since when I was a kid, Peter Pan is my most favorite character of all time, I imagine how he fly and of course the never ending fountain of youth in the Neverland, and how I wish I have a friend like Tinkerbelle. And seeing all of that in a show really mesmerize me, I feel like a kid once again, thru watching Ballet Philippines Christmas offer, the Edna Vida Froilan’s Peter Pan. It opens last Dec 4 and last until Dec 13, 2015. Finally, we are able to visit the much talked Nuvali in Laguna,the first ecofriendly community of Ayala Land, wherein four branches of their residential projects are situated.  Namely Alveo, Amaia, Ayala Land Premiere and Avida. The Philippines is set to welcome more than 200 culture and museum leaders and experts of the Asia Pacific region this first week of December for the International Council of Museum- Asia Pacific 2015 Conference and General Assembly dubbed as ICOM ASPAC 2015. The event is slated on December 3 to 7 at the newly opened Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City. ICOM is a global network of more than 35,000 culture and museum institutions and professionals that work together to achieve its mission of conserving, continuing, and communicating to society the world’s natural and cultural heritage.
