Food Trip: Home Made Milk-Tea

Since last Friday I've been craving for some milktea! But I have no time of going out to buy some. Good thing my husband bought me a pack of fresh milk and I still have some tea bags left here and a little sugar.

All you need are the following:
1 pack of fresh milk (any brand will do).

few tea bags, depends on how strong you want you tea.

and a few spoon/s of sugar (brown sugar is what I used, for we never really use white sugar here at home).

*Optional ingredients: Cinnamon Powder

All you have to do is:
Pour all the milk in a sauce pot and put it under low fire stove to heat. Let it warm up to a decent temperature BEFORE adding the tea bags.
To measure the temperature, I usually just stick my finger in there.
When it's hot but not scalding, put in your tea bags.
You can choose to swirl them around, but you can also let them steep a while.
Either way works.

Swirl the bags around a bit until you get a nice milky color of tea. If you can smell the tea rising from the pot, then you can start to wrap up the heating process.
(*you can add your cinnamon right after the tea smell's rising).
Now we're going to add sugar.
I usually put a tablespoon or two in mine since I don't want it to be too sweet, but it should be just a little sweet. Then stir it liberally.
When you serve this drink, serve it HOT! It's so much better that way.
BUT I want mine cold with ice cubes! :)

I hope you enjoy this one, and let me know your thoughts by leaving me some comments.
