Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. CCP FEATURES TWO LIVING NATIONAL ARTISTS IN PULSO PILIPINAS II: ALAY NINA ALICE AT AGNES

  MAKE a way and move to the beat as the Cultural Center of the Philippines presents Pulso Pilipinas II: Alay Nina Alice at Agnes as the second part of the CCP Dance Series (LIVE!) 2022, happening on September 30 at 8:00 PM (Gala Night), October 1, 2022 at 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and October 2, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the CCP Main Theater. This time, it will showcase jewels in the Filipino dance repertoire in a mixed program proudly presenting the selected classic iconic works of our two living National Artists for Dance - Alice Reyes and Agnes Locsin. SINAG 2022

TO celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the Cultural Center of the Philippines this month of September, the SINAG 2022: Light and Sound spectacle will light up the CCP façade from September 22-25, 2022. Multi-awarded lighting designer John Batalla conceptualized the outdoor light show with sound design by Jethro Joaquin. “We will interpret the three transcendentals of Truth, Goodness and Beauty paired with a soundscape of indigenous Filipino instruments, snippets of folk music and quintessential Filipino sound bites or quotable quotes from the past,” Batalla said. Batalla partnered with Joaquin to curate the soundscape or soundtrack for the show. SINAG 2022 is produced by the CCP Production Design and Technical Services Division.  The event will create a vibrant and effervescent atmosphere on the façade and its environs, the CCP PDTSD said. MUSICAL theater artist Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo returns to directing live shows with Musikal II, the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ 53rd anniversary gala on September 10, 8:00 p.m. at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo. Yulo envisioned Musikal II to herald the return of the Filipino musicals, after the two years of the pandemic. “Every artist has a story to tell on how they survived during the pandemic. As you very well know, it hit our industry the hardest.   But a lot of artists found ways to survive,” Yulo said. “Streaming performances, selling food they baked or cooked themselves, teaching online, and even selling recording devices, ring lights, etc.   We artists know how to improvise when pushed into a corner.   Musikal II is my return to directing a live show.   So I am very excited.” Musikal II consists of songs from original Filipino musicals from 2015 to 2021.
