Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Cebu Pacific carries another batch of COVID-19 vaccines to VisMin

The Philippines' leading carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) continues to airlift much-needed COVID-19 vaccines to different cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.  A total of 91,200 doses (38,400 for Tacloban, 28,800 for Cotabato, and 24,000 for Zamboanga) were safely delivered yesterday, April 14, 2021.   These vaccine deliveries are part of the government’s ongoing vaccination program that prioritize various groups across the country. “This shipment of vaccines is the fourth that we’ve received from CEB and we appreciate the smooth transport because it helps us expedite our ongoing vaccination program in the city,” said Beng Climaco, Zamboanga City Mayor.   “With CEB’s regular flights to Cotabato, we in the government can efficiently act on and prioritize the national government’s recovery program,” added Cotabato City Mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi. Former CCP Trustee Nestor Torre Passes Away

WRITER, director, actor and former Cultural Center of the Philippines Board Trustee Nestor U. Torre died on April 6, 2021 at the age of 78. A former Saturday Special editor and Entertainment columnist of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Torre likewise had a column in the said publication entitled “Viewfinder,” focusing on in-depth entertainment news, interviews and commentaries, and complemented it with classroom teaching, conducting workshops, and writing, directing and producing for stage, film and television.  He continued to write his popular daily column until he suffered a stroke in February 2018. Torre’s rise in Philippine showbiz started in the early 1960s when he was asked to direct ABS-CBN’s “Two for the Road” talk show with Elvira Manahan, Joey Lardizabal and Eddie Mercado.  He also dabbled in movies in the 1970s as writer for “King Khayam and I” and director for projects like “Crush ko si Sir” and “Ang Isinilang Ko Ba’y Kasalanan”.
