Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Experimental Exhibition of CCP Viewed Through a 360 Lens Opens on Dec 5

The CCP closes off the decade with a new media exhibition by Gericho Iniel Cruz.   The exhibit #AngAlamatNgMalikhaingKonsyumer or A ng Alamat ng Malikhaing Konsyumer opens on December 5, 2019 at the CCP’s Pasilyo Vicente Manansala (2F Hallway Gallery) at 6pm.   This three-part show presents 360 degree videos of different aspects of, or “spectacles” at the CCP.   Viewers will experience the physical exhibitions through a virtual tour using a Google cardboard virtual reality device placed on three church pews at the exhibition area.   This is the first time that Cruz exhibits his work at the CCP, and he conceptualized it to support the ongoing 50th anniversary celebration of the Center. New study exposes duplicity of tobacco companies’ unbelievable smoke-free claim

Big Tobacco apparently has no intention to reduce sales of cigarettes while aggressively promoting supposedly smoke-free alternative products. According to a new report Big Tobacco’s smoke-free deception: Tobacco trademarks in ASEAN countries uncover the truth, tobacco companies registered more intellectual property (IP) for cigarette brands than for brands of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) or e-cigarettes and Heated Tobacco Products (HTP). The report was launched today by the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA). These past four years in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, Philip Morris International (PMI), Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and British American Tobacco (BAT) filed 533 IP registrations for cigarette brands, compared to only 169 for HTP and ENDS; out of these, 357 cigarette brand registrations have been approved compared to 112 for HTP and ENDS. CCP Presents NeoFilipino 2019: Ar[res]t

NeoFilipino 2019: Ar[res]t is a dance show that presents expressions of the contemporary Filipino through the dancing body featuring choreographers Ava Villanueva Ong, Biag Gaongen, Georgette Sanchez-Vargas, and JM Cabling, in collaboration with composer Krina Cayabyab, mixed-media installation artist Manny Montelibano, theatre director Tuxqs Rutaquio, and writer Gianne Sanchez-Sanson.
