Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. Cuyonon Baragatan celebrate 10th year.

Now on its 10 th year, the simple gathering or reunion of Cuyonons from Manila and abroad recently celebrate Ten wonderful years of convergence thru their “Cuyonon Baragatan” held last August 13 at Club Filipino in San Juan City. Almost a thousand attended this year’s event, Cuyo Mayor Andrew Ong is also present with some leaders of the province like Congressman Gil Acosta, Cong. Chickoy Alvarez, Cong. The golden anniversary continues as REPertory Philippines Theater For Young Audiences and the City of Makati brings back, after its successful 2003 run, the magic and classic tale " Beauty And The Beast " on its 80th season. This version was specifically tailored for young children with book written by Peter del Valle and John Ahearn, music by Michael Valenti and lyrics by Elsa Rael. The magic storytelling and the classic retelling of this tale was based on the French novel of the same title published in 1740, goes live onstage with the direction of Joy Virata, Founder and Artistic Director of REP Theater For Young Audiences (RTYA) in celebration of its silver anniversary. Tanghalang Pilipino officially launched " Aurelio Sedisyoso, " an original rock sarswela, the first piece for its 31st Theater Season, a sequel to the steampunk musical " Mabining Mandirigma. " With book and lyrics by Nicanor Tiongson, music by Joed Balsamo and direction by Chris Millado, it play act the conflicts between the Philippines and the United States in the period between 1902 and 1907, that framed the third phase of the revolution. It also focuses the last chapter in the life of Aurelio V. Tolentino from 1908 to 1915. The Cast of Aurelio Sedisyoso.
