Hotel Sogo extends help to communities in CamSur

Hotel Sogo continues to care as it ramped up its effort in helping the country’s indigent communities by reaching out to several communities in Luzon. Recently, it donated school supplies to over 300 school children in Triangulo Elementary School - Diversion Road, CBD II, Barangay Triangulo, Naga, and Oroc-Osoc Elementary School - Oroc-Osoc, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Hotel Sogo also distributed long sleeve shirts and black out tarp cover from Hotel Sogo’s collateral materials for use as cover for tourist and fishing boats to 200 fisherfolks from Brgy.Paniman, Caramoan Camarines Sur. CCP Vice President and Artistic Director Chris Millado recently announce this plan for this year, including its first offering, the The Noli Me Tangere opera. Come heart’s day, six OPM artist who popularize songs that talk about matters of the heart, will be in one show to celebrate the universal language of all time, which is love. For the second time around, #LoveThrowback is making a comeback at Philippine International Convention Center featuring two Kilabot ng Koliheyala from different generation, Hajji Alejandro and Ariel Rivera. The Voice PH Season 2 Winner and R&B singer Jason Dy. MCA Music Inc of Philippines and Malaysia recently did a collaboration of their two artist, for one song that break barriers and boundary, and prove that love is universal no matter what race or color you are. This the song Nothing Like Pag-Ibig written by Filipino hit maker Jungee Marcelo wherein The Voice-Ph season 2 grand winner Jason Dy and Malaysian singer, actress and TV Host Fazura commission to record it as duet piece. The cast and crew of "Kapitan Kalikasan".  Before 2016 ends, the resident and home grown studio of Film maker Dante Nico Garcia that is based in Puerto Princesa City this past years, introduce his latest creations via a multi media film series called “Kapitan Kalikasan” under the direction of his protégée Rocky Austria-Pagliawan. The premiere held at Robinson Mall Palawan last Dec 24, wherein the almost 17minute film give a glimpse of what to expect  on this new age super hero that is task in saving the environment, making things clean and creating a better place for everyone. Ephesus Teatron Group Opens 2017 with Once Upon A Mattress.

The parody on the story of The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Anderson, is making a Philippine theatre premiere this January 20 to 22 at the Tanghalang Yaman Ng Lahi Theater of Emilio Aguinaldo College in Ermita Manila, this is Once Upon A Mattress from the book by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer and Dan Fuller and Music by Mary Rodgers. The Manila staging is produce as their opening salvo for 2017 by Ephesus Teatron Group, Inc. They are the company behind the staging of Once on This Island and The Ants and the Grasshoppers and other Children theater production. Sweet Samaniego-Buchanan, President and Artistic Directror of Ephesus said during its launching, that they are mostly product of Repertory Philippines, and base on their trust, they want to provide unique style of innovative and engaging theater to all schools of all levels. Noli Me Tangere in CCP, this time an Opera.

The revolutionary Filipino classic novel that shape the nation, from National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, his immortal Noli Me Tangere is opening this 2017 at the main theater of Cultural Center of the Philippines, and this time it’s an Opera, showcasing full length music by National Artists Felipe De Leon and Guillermo Tolentino. J&S Production Executive Producer Jerry Sibal. Producing the show is the J&S Production all the way from New York USA, they are behind its staging way back 2014 at the Resort World. And for its 60th year, The Noli Me Tangere The Opera is making a comeback in CCP under the direction of Jerry Sibal with the newly formed 53 piece Noli Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera.
