Filipino Investors Optimistic on Pensions - ManuLife Survey

Image
The majority of Filipino investors are satisfied with  their government pension – but that sentiment is based on specific assumptions and a cash-dominant approach to retirement working out, according to the latest Manulife Investor Sentiment Index.* Two-thirds of respondents said that they are confident that their government pension  would be enough to meet their needs upon retirement – the highest level of all surveyed markets. In contrast, across all surveyed markets the proportion of confident investors was less than 40 percent, and as low as one-in-ten in some markets. While such optimism seems positive, the survey shows it is based on some risky assumptions. First, investors expect their retirement income to be relatively high, at 92% of their current income – the highest estimate among all surveyed markets (Asia average 69%). Second, they expect their retirement expenses to be relatively low, at just 61 percent of their current income, at the lower end of...

Can You Do the Selfie Dance?!

SOCIALFLY is a social media marketing and PR agency. They took Fancy, Iggy Azalea's "song of the summer," capitalized on the pop cultural "selfie craze," busted out a few dance moves to the musical stylings of Pants Velour and lip synched our way through Greg Cartin's lyrical genius to turn out Socialfly's very first single and music video: #DoTheSelfie. It's been a whirlwind collaboration that started with an idea and transformed into a video that will make you laugh, but don't take our word for it...watch for yourself! And, please, when you love it (because we know you will), like, share and #DoTheSelfie with everyone you know on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Mike Tupas Festival of the Lion King is one of the theater attraction of Disneyland in Hongkong, It features the famous cartoon movie of Disney thru music and dance, and added attraction is the come on pleaser done by some performers for the audience while waiting for the real show to start.  As i visit the famous theme park recently, i was able to witness the prowess talent of my kababayan in entertaining the crowd, and i am talking about the multi-talented musician, artist and painter Mike Tupas and Jason Canoy, both from Mitus Tribe, a famous reggae ethnic band in Palawan.  As we all know Mike is with Disney already since it open way back 2005, and joining him this time is his band member Jason. They have a band in Palawan that plays reggae music (I bet they've used something like  fruity loops 10  when creating their music.. )   To watch Mike and Jason during the pre-program of the lion king here is the link of their video, https://...

Social Networking and Kids

Image
Photo Credits: http://www.qustodio.com Social networking and social media site are becoming increasingly popular. The Facebook and Myspace trend was originally targeted towards high school and college aged kids. Then parents and grandparents started creating accounts. Social networking is an excellent way to stay in contact with friends and keep updated about events. Users are able to speak about themselves by updating their own status and share memories by posting pictures and videos. Now users are becoming increasingly younger. The issue is how young is too young to use social media. Facebook and Twitter both have age restrictions on their websites. Kids have to become at least 13 before they can create an account. The problem with this is that it is simple to create an account under a fake age. Many parents are not alright with their young children to use social networking and others want social networking sites to remove the age restrictions. The problem with yo...

Tips On Creating A Safe And Cozy House For Children

Image
Every child should grow in a place that's safe and comfortable. If you're a parent hoping to give your kids a house that possesses the said characteristics, listed below are a number of simple ways on how to make this happen. Photo Credit:  www.decoradvisor.net  In terms of safety, one of the most popular advice experts give parents, especially those with young ones, is to keep their home less cramped. This is because children are expected to move a lot even when told not to.  Basically, by doing away with fragile home decors or furnishings, you minimize the chances of your kids bumping into them and consequently, hurting themselves. It's also best if you purchase pieces of furniture with round edges or put corner or edge bumpers if you wish to keep those with sharp edges.  As for your windows and stairs, place safety gates and window guards to avoid serious falls. Ensure that you also lock rooms or cabinets which contain medicines, cleaning produc...

Because ‘NATURAL’ is the way to ‘NOURISH’

Image
Have you ever experienced having dry skin because your soap or body wash was just too strong for your skin? Or have you ever felt icky and sticky after putting on lotion just to get your skin moisturized? Having too much chemicals on your skin may not be the right way to take care of it. Being the most visible organ of the body, you need to take extra care of it. So, whether you have skin that is as tough as leather, or as sensitive as a baby’s, the proper care on your skin is important since it is always exposed to harmful elements that may damage and spell illness to your skin. Bath soaps and body washes are essential to clean your skin from all the dirt and grime you get from your daily activities. However, some soaps and body washes can actually strip off essential oils from the skin that could lead to dryness. One way to address this dilemma is to go natural! This is the perfect way to have your skin clean and nourished for that healthy aura people will notice. Filipin...

Bbibons: 2-in-1 Baby Food!

Image
Got some package from Rebisco yesterday. I was actually wondering why they would send me something for free. But I recall that I signed up for a product review sometime July.  I actually got intrigued with this product, that I joined the review opps. I was thinking that I should give this one a try, for my little one is not into pre-made baby food (like some cereals of pureed products on the market). She preferred eating rice with veggies, of which for me is very ideal and best over those pre-made, high with preservative foods bought in the market.  Having the fact that she also loves munching on biscuits, so i told myself why not give this a try if ever given the chance to do the review.  I picked the package at the courier branch, (though it was supposed to be delivered at home, but I was out of town). Bibibons (fyi) is the first local product for babies, that is biscuit and cereal-in-one specially formulated for babies who are starting to ea...
